Boho Butterflies Bag and Vase

Above are 2 pictures of the 5 items in the svgcuts kit.  Boho Butterflies.  What fun it was making these!  Either project would make a nice gift for someone.

The above gift bag was very easy to assemble.  Large enough to use as a catch-all on your desk.  Since I used solid paper for my butterfly; I shaded my project with my Copic markers.  The butterfly design is delicate but no problem cutting using my Silver Bullet machine

I enlarged the vase pattern so my completed vase is 6" by 9" and I love it!  A quick and easy project to make.  I used Bazzill Card Shoppe 100# paper, which I purchased from Star Lit Studio .  Check this online store out!  They give 5 star service, carry htf items and super-fast shipping!  I believe my total cost in making this vase was under $2.  I added some decorator stones and a t-lite.

I am thrilled a new 3D svg design business is open online!  DREAMING TREE  and do they have some great designs!  Check them out and get your free design.

Today I am finishing my Halloween treat bags and cards.  Will post soon.  Happy Fall and thank you for stopping by my Blog.

Halloween Stinging Jack's Lantern

Congratulations to Dreaming Tree website with your official site launch!  Leo Kowal is the owner of Dreaming Tree: formally affiliated with Svgcuts.  Check out his new digital file site for some great svg 3d designs! www.3dsvg.com  Right now Leo is giving away a new cutting machine plus gift cards.  So sign up for a chance to win.  Be sure to sign up for the news letter and grab your free files.

The file above is Stinging Jack's Lantern from the Dreaming Tree store.   This design was EASY to make and I love the finished product. Completed project is an estimated 7.5 inch high and wide in size.  Use it as a table top design or hanging Halloween design.  The concept of printing the panels on vellum is GENIUS!  The picture above is the lantern sitting on top of a box (orange/black) so you can see the bottom easier.   Below is a closeup of the design.

This lantern is very sturdy when finished, and should survive many Halloweens!

I also made the Stingy Jack’s Halloween Lantern III and very pleased with the finished project.  See pic below.

Tiffany Like Paper Lamp- Crafts

Mary at Svgcuts has done it again with this design file.  WONDERFUL!  Was it time consuming to make?  Yes.  It took me 3 days, but I could have done it quicker.  What takes so long is the coloring of the velum tiles 3 or more times.  I never could figure an easier way to color as you need some opaque when finished.

Above is my finished lamp turned on.  I love it!  Inside the base is a 9" candle lamp. (electric)  I was surprised how few sheets of cardstock was needed.  Base: 2 sheets  Lampshade frame : 3 sheets  Lampshade tiles: 4 sheets vellum.  Glue.   This is from memory, so check your design before cutting it for supplies.

I will be adding more files on my Etsy store site, so stop by and shop!  Scrapcuts by Judy

BABY CRIB & GOLF CART - BOX CARDS

How much fun is it to make a box card ?  ALOT and pretty easy!  The above cutting patterns are available at svgcuts. com for purchase.   These took very little time to assemble  and only 3-4 sheets of cardstock.

BABY CRIB  BOX CARD

This card is perfect for a baby shower or announcements!   It will easily fold up to put in an envelope.
My Silver Bullet cutting machine cut  this detailed design with no problems!!

                                                        GOLF CART  BOX CARD

This Golf cart card was fun to make and the perfect card for my husband, Pete.  We live in the Central Florida area; which is a hot-spot for retirees and golf carts!  We have many mobile / modular senior developments which golf carts are the preferred way to get around within the neighborhoods!  I am telling you now, don't mess with their golf carts either!  :)   Another svgcuts file.

I have added some new baby digital cut files on my Etsy store front this week.  Check it out and thank you for stopping by my blog!

Heritage Bedtime Castle

                                                 Heritage Bedtime Castle

You may think this isn't a traditional gift for a baby, but it is!  Just bear with me.  This design is offered by Svgcuts.com   and the name of the file is " Bedtime Castle."  I hesitated to make this at first, as I thought it would take me years, but it was basically finished within a day.

 Castle - 14.5" tall
Paper I used is Graphic 45 "Mother Goose"

I don't know about any of you, but I personally was not interested in my heritage until I was 50 years old.  I did remember a few family stories shared with me, but not enough information to pass on.  So in my spare time, I researched our family roots.  I just know by the time I am finished; there will be an app to scan your eyes and DNA using your phone and tell you immediately your family history ! UGH

Castle with lid removed

In the picture above, we moved the smaller towers lid section, which is covering a hidden box.   I am making a small sized family history book and will place it inside the castle box.  I will include pictures also of our Ancestors and notes.  This way my Grand-daughter will have the information needed and wanted to share with her children.

Back View
The vibrant colors represent the countries of our Ancestry.

Front View

Again, this design is offered by Svgcuts.com   and the name of the file is " Bedtime Castle."

Cowboy Birthday Card

Isn't this a great card for a younger boy?  This design is easy as it gets and is another svgcut.com file.  This card took around 30 minutes to complete.

The little Cowboy reminds me of my Great-Grandson Jed.

The patterned paper is by October Afternoon "Sasparilla".  October Afternoon paper is one of my top 5 papers to use.  Cuts like butter and just fun paper!  The downfall?  Hard to find. :(   I did find an online store which carries this htf line and at discount prices too!  I have ordered 4 times from this store and the service is 5 PLUS Stars!  I am paying  .75-.79 cents per paper which other places are charging .95-.99 cents a sheet.  I am finding hard to find designs/companies which is also a bonus.  And, what pride they take with their package preparation for shipping. Every order has been carefully packed and WRAPPED.
Below is a picture of my latest order.  Thank You to Starlitstudio.com.  Check out their store!

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by my Blog.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2015

          Teacher Appreciation Week 2015

May 04 - 08th is Teacher Appreciation Week and you still have time to make something for that special Teacher.

My daughter Kimberly made this poster for her son's Teacher.  She took pictures of the students and had each child write why they appreciate their Teacher.

I cut the title letters 3 " tall and made some mustaches for her project .  ( my 5 minutes of time )  What a great idea to honor your Teacher !!

Spring Blossoms Lantern w/top

Spring Blossoms Lantern w/ Lid

As shown in earlier post below, making this design by svgcuts "Spring Blossoms"  is quick to make and you can alter it easily enough as I did above.  The original design is about 8 inches tall and no removable top.   I wanted a larger one with a removable top and was not disappointed when completed!  My lantern is 11.50 inches tall and I used the cherry tree with blossoms on the front.   I love using potpourri in my home and will add it to this lantern.  Great Mother's Day gift!!

Since I am using a flame-less 6 inch candle, I could add potpourri around the base.  I cut this using my Silver Bullet machine and a 45 degree detail blade.  Paper used is 65 weight.  I added pearls (faux) to top and rhinestones to the cherry blossoms and top of hanging lantern.  Have you seen the new video tutorial for  the tools you can use with the Silver Bullet?

Spring Blossoms Lattice Lantern

 Spring Blossoms Lantern

Living in Florida and loving the weather forecast for this weekend; the low 90's.
POOL TIME. And what could be more perfect for the patio tables than this new design by svgcuts.

I added the hanging lantern and below is a picture of the pattern I made.  Feel free to use it.

Using scissors:  Cut a rectangle 2-3 inches width and 1.5 - 2.5 in length.  Whatever size you need.  Fold in half and be sure you made a good crease for your fold.  Take a pair of scissors and cut at the folded crease/fold line but not to the edge of your rectangle.  Glue the edges together and then carefully apply pressure to the top and bottom of lantern to get the pushed out look.  Add  a ribbon or twine to top and your done.  VERY EASY!

I added a battery power tea-light inside my lantern but you could also add potpourri.   Or both?

Hoping everyone has a great weekend and thank you for stopping by my Blog!

Happy Birthday Card & Hat Box

Birthday gifts and ideas get a little harder when that child is now an adult.  I liked this card file from svgcuts and decided to make it using a modern color palette.

All I needed to add to my card was some rhinestones.  Very easy card to make!

One thing I enjoy doing is re-purposing an item.  You can find these laminated wood boxes all over in local stores or garage sales.  I have made many cardstock hat boxes but for the same price, I can buy a wooden one and decorate.  And it will last longer. :)

First, I measured the width across of the box top.  I drew a circle that size within my software and cut it out.  I also drew a 11 inch rectangle in length, 1 inch in width and cut for my ribbon.  I used faux pearls with my ribbon.  Paper used is Graphic 45 Couture.

I covered the top of the box using a glue gun as our humidity in Florida is pretty high.  Be careful not to use a lot of hot glue as you will have chunks of glue when dried.  I use small amounts at a time and smooth flat before it dries.

Puppy Belly Box

The Easter Bunny treats are gone now and it is time to move to Spring & Summer projects!  I made the above box using a file from "My ScrapChick."  This file was super easy and no adjustments needed.  GREAT file!  Name of file is  Dog Trio.

I used .022 chipboard first and cut the The puppy pieces, box and hands. I then cut the same pattern pieces in card-stock and glued to the chipboard pieces.  I assembled the main chipboard pieces using my glue gun. I want this box to be sturdy and last longer than what it would using the card-stock only.

Perfect for gift-giving or putting dog treats into the box belly.

Total completion time is under 30 minutes!!  Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

Easter Bunnies and Chicks by Judy

Happy Easter 2015 !!!

I have decided to take a break from designing files for awhile and cut out some of the fabulous files available online.  Among my favorite places are Svgcuts, My Scrapchick , PPbN by Nikki and long time fan of Kristi W, files.   If you haven't visited my store site lately:  Scrapcuts by Judy and more files at Bosskut.com.  Check these sites out!

I LOVED making the Bunny Hatbox by ScrapChick.   I made these to give to my great neighbors for an Easter surprise filled with candy.  This file was super easy, fast and today is on sale for ONE DOLLAR!  Bird file included.  These are boxes.  ( Hat can be removed)

Another quick to make file from My ScrapChick.  Don't you like the carrot feet for this bunny belly box?

Picnic Basket by SVGCUTS

Another Svgcuts file which you can also fill with treats!!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Blog today.  Thank you for stopping by and leave a comment if you have time.

Happy 6th Birthday Presley !!

One of the sweetest and loving grand-daughters one could wish for.  She came into this world six years ago, and had a rough start from day one...it hasn't been the easiest road, but the good definitely outweighs the hard times.

Since I am still on a roll making some of the designs from SVGCUTS, I decided to tackle the  Carousel Ride SVG Kit.  My finished product is an estimated 11 inches by 11 inches.  I used October Afternoon's Cake Walk paper. You will do better using heavier weight papers and at least 65# weight.  I believe my last count of papers used was 30 sheets!

The finished Carousel is sturdy enough to survive more parties.  The Carousel top does remove so you can add candies , more cupcakes or party treats.  Below is the co-ordinating gift bag I made.  My rating for this kit is 5 stars!  Worth every moment making it.

The gift bag was quick and very easy to do!

Time to get Easter projects going!  12 more days....

Happy Valentines Day

With Valentines day this weekend, I decided to make these card boxes by Svgcuts.  Very easy to put together!  Another great kit by Svgcuts.   I am already working on Easter designs and will post some I have done soon.  I have some real cute and easy to cut Easter/Spring files available at my ScrapcutsByJudy Etsy store.  So check them out!

I made 2 more svgcut files below and decided to keep both of these finished projects for myself!

First one is the canoe on a box and the second one is the camper on the box.  I am nearing another milestone birthday next month and for some reason; owning a motor-home is very appealing to me.  I have traveled often in my life but realize I haven't seen all of my home state of Florida.  My husband is hoping this "new idea" of mine will quickly pass. :)

Canoe with box.  Great gift for the man in your life!

Happy 18th months anniversary to my SILVER BULLET machine!  18 months of ownership, extensive use and my Silver Bullet has not let me down one time!!  I just don't know what else I would want added to this machine and that speaks volumes!  SureCutsAlot  has recently released a Version 4 for their software.  I am so impressed with all of the extra features added to the software. They have a limited time offer to upgrade to Version 4 for $19.99.

Thank you for stopping by my Blog!

Happy Valentines Day

Plays , Purses & Presley

Picture above is my daughter Kimberly with my Grand-children Cash & Presley.  They had just attended a play at a local theater.

3 days earlier:

The kids came to visit for a few hours and Presley is excited she is going to see the play, "Wizard of Oz."  Miss Presley is all about "Accessorizing" her outfits.  While visiting, she tells me she wished she had a new purse and could I make her one.  SO honored she wanted her Grandma to make it and jumped right on it.  She sweetly reminds me she needs extra glitz!  Below are pictures of her new purses I made.

Did you notice in the family photo above, NO PURSE!  She forgot it!
I believe these are svgcuts designer purse collection design.  This is exactly why I design and scrapbook!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I will be adding more files this week on my store site on Etsy .

Holiday Cutting and Hello to 2015

Belated New Year wishes!  No New Year resolutions for me in 2015, as I plan to enjoy each moment that comes my way.

Above is a new file I designed, " Holiday in a Box Card."  Very easy to put together.  I did a lot of projects through the holidays this year.  Pictures below.  Most of these are designed by svgcuts and I really enjoyed making these.

I made these svgcuts gift boxes for nearly pennies.  My husband is one of those weekend garage sales guy and purchased about 3 dozen ornaments for 1 dollar!!!!

So I added vinyl and/or rhinestones/glitter to dress them up and they were good to go.

My husband Pete collects costume jewelry for me all year and if you look carefully at the rosette, you will see the Christmas pin I added.

So get out your holiday costume jewelry and repurpose it!!
