Itsy-Bitsy Spider by Lori m

I’m back with another little paper piecing project.  How “I love” this season and the up coming Halloween time.  Its just so much fun decorating and seeing all the little ones in their costumes.
Here we have one “HUGE” spider, and one poor little mouse, who just happened to get caught up in the web.
Aren't they both adorable??  Check out those shiny shoes on the spider and what about the POPKUT  ears on the mouse.  Love, love, love it!

Birthday Pop-Up Card by Judy Stark

                             Happy 60th Birthday Warren!

This birthday card is a mixture of different types of card crafting, but it fell together in the end.

Files Used:
Cecily Butterfly  - Rosette -  Cut Out Frame - Party Banner files by Judy Stark
Print n Cut files - StinkinCute & Scrappy Dew

I purchased the PopUp Studio software the 1st week it was released.  FINALLY, I have a card finished after how many months?  The software has a small learning curve but after you get by this, it is pretty easy. My advise is to minimize what you want to pop or your card gets "cut out" too much. My card is closest to very basic for a popup, but I really liked the outcome. So... keep it basic it was! :)  I found using Washi tape was perfect to reinforce the fold line.

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by!

It has to be Halloween somewhere ?

One of my favorite things to do is, scrapbook using Holiday files!  Halloween being one of my favorites as I can use as much of and colors I choose.  No rules or limits apply to Halloween.  Well, not for me anyway.

Above is a design file I purchased from Svgcuts.com.  First try was a little difficult because "I thought" I could do it without looking at the tutorial.
Will I ever learn?  After I watched the tutorial, it was pretty easy going.

Another file in the new release, Witch Hat (a box) file.

A reminder to check the Bosskut forum for upcoming news and free files.  Sale is still on at Bosskut Store.  www.bosskut.com   Great time to stock up on supplies for the holiday crafting!

Have a good week and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Card

Happy Birthday Card by Judy Stark

Another birthday to celebrate in our family and another card to make.  With my large family, I have to have extra's ready or I end up buying them instead.  So... time to replenish a few to have on hand.

The birthday card was finished within 30 minutes and very easy & basic to do.
I cut a few print n cuts, standard card pattern, border and a new file at www.bosskutdiecuts.com.  (Below)  I used the doily file from the set.

 D-Light Doily Flower Set

The jpeg file is by designer Kristi W.  Who doesn't love a cute little puppy?
The D-Light Doily file was designed by me.   The inside of my card was printed by using my Funtime Software and printer.

Quick, fun & a card I am proud of!!

Etched Wine Glasses by Jamie G

Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Materials: Oracal 631 vinyl, Amour Etch

This simple project was created as a gift.  I purchased a set of 4 white wine glasses, something I knew that she would like, and added a little personalization to them.

For the first one, I started with the sentiment, "Aged to Perfection."  I used the BlackJack true type font and welded the letters together in Funtime.  It's one of my favorite fonts to work with lately because I love the look of it when it's welded together.

The first names were typed in BlackJack true type font and again I welded the letters together in Funtime.

When I layered the initial and the name together it seemed as though the first name would be lost in the initial when they were etched together.  To get the first name to appear on top of the initial I started by creating an outline around the name.  Then in Funtime, I took the outline of the name and placed it where I wanted it to appear on the initial.

Make sure to first select the border of the name, right click, and then select To front.  This is important to make sure that you do because it is what will make the subtract function work the way we want for this application.

Once you have the name on top of the initial, select both and select the icon on the left of your screen to Subtract all selected objects to the first element.

Now if you go ahead a line up the name on top of the initial you will see a border around the name that goes through the initial.

When you're ready to cut the vinyl, make sure to cut all of it together.  That will make it easier and will keep the integrity of the design that you've just worked on!

Thanks for looking!!
