Birthday Cake and Trinket Boxes

March and April seem to be everyone's birthday in our family!  (including myself)

I made the above file, which I purchased from Svgcuts, "Fairy Cottage" svg kit.  It is almost 9 inches tall by 4-5 inches wide when completed.  Very easy to make if you watch the tutorial at least once.  Wouldn't it be great for a baby shower or bridal shower also? The flowers are not included in the kit.

Working with Paper Crafts,Vinyl and a Shadow Box

  I am having such a great time using shadow boxes, svg files, cardstock & vinyl!  It takes me to an earlier time of my life, playing with a playhouse etc.  I do mean, WAY BACK!  I craft almost daily and many times I give away my completed items.  I have to or plan on the clean-up crew of the Hoarders show arriving here!  LOL  To preserve my work and enjoy it, the shadow box seems perfect!  The boxes above are 5" by 7" and 2.75" thick.  I bought these at my local Michael's store while on sale at 50% off.  Around $5.00 each and the brand is Studio -Decor.  VERY nicely made and secure.  They also include a Velcro strip to attach items inside to the back mat.  I also made one for my Grand-daughter for my G/Grandson, Liam.  (see below)

The SVG Kit used is Wet & Wild designed by Svgcuts.Com  

I reduced the size of the kit files by 45% .  I imported all of the files and selected ALL in my cutting software program.  Then I reduced all of them at the same time.  After cutting everything with my Silver Bullet cutting machine, I did the assembly.  Putting the Sandcastle together was very easy to do.  after everything was finished, I added glass beads into castle for weight and around the castle.  You could also buy small shells and add those but I would recommend a larger frame.  I decided what I wanted to cut for the title in vinyl and applied "Dream" to the front glass.  

I then added a string of battery operated lights into the castle and LOVE the effect! 

To me, this would make a great gift for someone!  Housewarming?

Shadowbox Fun

Happy Spring and Happy Easter!

  After seeing this cute as can be new release from svgcuts, I was ready to do a few vinyl projects.  Luck was on my side as Michael's had their shadowboxes 50% off!  Shadowboxes make great gifts for others and for your own home.  Either of the above projects were under $10 to make.

  The grow box is a 8" by 10" and the coffee one is 5" by 7".  Neither project requires much vinyl and I used scraps I had to make mine.  The coffee mug is also from Svgcuts.com and very easy to make IF you watch the video one time. :)   The title for the coffee/mascara file is from Silhouette online store.

3D Mushroom Set

3D Mushroom Set is now available in my Etsy Store.   This set has been so much fun to work with!   Available for $1.99 and the design pattern comes with a summary/ instruction sheet. Easy design to put together!  This set is a digital cutting file for electronic cutters.

Each product will contain a SVG, WPC, AI, Vector PDF file and a JPG.

Easter Chick and Raccoon are NOT included. Chick is by StinkinCute and found on the Silhouette store. Raccoon is part of the Woodland jpg set offered by Prettygrafikdesign on Etsy. 

My grand daughter asked me to make these for her Baby shower which was a Woodland Friends theme.   My first reaction was, "WHAT??  It's a baby shower!  What's the world coming to?  Well, I must say, it was absolutely beautiful with her additional accents etc.  I made almost 40 of these and only had 2 left on the tables!  So my 3D mushroom was born!   This can also be used for other holidays, birthdays and accent pieces for any room.

EASTER Card in Box

Easter Card in Box NOW AVAILABLE!  

This was such a fun card to design and make!  Easy to put it together. 

I used American Craft paper for this file and recommend at least 65# weight and 80# is better yet. After 10 years of using only Scotch quick dry glue, I have changed my glue and love it.  Dries quicker and thicker.  Easy cleanup and the price is less.  I have switched to PH Neutral PVA.  Black and white tag and I buy the 4 oz for $7 on Amazon.

    Lineco product.  Not sure if Scotch changed the formula but it seemed thinner and not drying as quick.  Of course ,it could have been a bad bottle or just in my mind but a few other crafter's stated the same thing.  SO??

Banner Valentine Card

  Valentines Day is just a couple weeks away and I am busy making my cards now.   The card above is a design by Dreaming Tree and easy to put it all together.  I thought I would try making one in black, red and gray for a more modern look.  Love is in the air!

                       Welcome to our World, Baby Liam ! !

 Congratulations to proud parents Samantha & Samuel on the birth of your beautiful & healthy son.  Liam decided he didn't want to be a Christmas Baby, nor New's Baby and chose his own birth-date.   Liam is my Great - Grandson and a little Angel. 

As you can see in the first picture on this page, I made a newly released design by Dreaming Tree- Valentine's Day box. I was quite impressed how well the pieces went together and the sturdiness of the finished project.  So I made another one but wanted it to be a memory box. 

The paper used is Graphic 45 Precious Memories Collection.   The finished box is about 11 inches in height.  Very nice size to store things into.  The box is perfect to keep your private things  and thoughts tucked away instead openly in a book.  My Grand Daughter seemed very pleased with it.

Boho Butterflies Bag and Vase

Above are 2 pictures of the 5 items in the svgcuts kit.  Boho Butterflies.  What fun it was making these!  Either project would make a nice gift for someone. 

The above gift bag was very easy to assemble.  Large enough to use as a catch-all on your desk.  Since I used solid paper for my butterfly; I shaded my project with my Copic markers.  The butterfly design is delicate but no problem cutting using my Silver Bullet machine. 

I enlarged the vase pattern so my completed vase is 6" by 9" and I love it!  A quick and easy project to make.  I used Bazzill Card Shoppe 100# paper, which I purchased from Star Lit Studio .  Check this online store out!  They give 5 star service, carry htf items and super-fast shipping!  I believe my total cost in making this vase was under $2.  I added some decorator stones and a t-lite.

  The file above is Stinging Jack's Lantern from the Dreaming Tree store.   This design was EASY to make and I love the finished product. Completed project is an estimated 7.5 inch high and wide in size.  Use it as a table top design or hanging Halloween design.  The concept of printing the panels on vellum is GENIUS!  The picture above is the lantern sitting on top of a box (orange/black) so you can see the bottom easier.   Below is a closeup of the design.

                                                                               

This lantern is very sturdy when finished, and should survive many Halloweens!
