Which was first, the Chicken or the Egg?

Which was first, the Chicken or the Egg?    The Egg?

Always was my answer with the infamous question!  Mind you, I always back my answer with a.... do I really care? "

I do know however, this Chicken was so fun to make and even though a little high-priced to me, well worth it when finished. File can be purchased at: http://www.sunshine-hobby-works.at/49219/huhn-ei
For the record, there are no directions included but easy to piece it together correctly.  Just stare down the picture!

This Chicken Egg is about 5-6 inches tall and very sturdy when finished.  I am setting my Chicken on my kitchen window and putting fresh potpourri inside.

Thank You for stopping my Blog and have a great weekend!

ScrapCuts by Judy - Goodbye March and Hello April

Umbrella Bag file by SVGCUTS

Time to get those Easter crafts started!  I loved making the newly released Umbrella Bag by svgcuts.  Very quick and easy to make.  The back of the design is a straight half of the umbrella, which is great to use as a centerpiece.  This keeps it from rolling over etc.

Looking at the basket/bag above, the white oval is where you can write/stamp a personal message.  I used 3  12x12 papers and each bag took around 20 minutes.  The hardest thing for me, is choosing which paper to use.

TIP:   Save your scraps of papers!  I put mine in a plastic container marked Spring/Easter and next year, hopefully will use them.

ScrapCutsByJudy Store for digital cutting files

Hopping on the Bunny Trail

I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day.  It seems like the holidays are flying by or is it I am slowing down?

Please be advised the "ScrapCutsbyJudy" Etsy store is my primary selling storefront and effective March 01, 2017, the only place to purchase my files.  It is on this website ONLY, I will be offering new files and any assistance.  Check my store regularly as I will be adding more svg files.

Bosskut has now closed it SCRAP SUPPLY doors.  I bought my Bosskut Gazelle 8-9 years ago and for 2 weeks, never plugged it in.  I just stared at it!!  After those two weeks though, I cut away and never looked back.  I learned so much from using this machine and Funtime software.   The owners and staff at this company were A++++ and I hope they enjoy their retirement years.

If you are wondering which machine I would recommend , it is bar none, the SILVER BULLET for serious crafters and businesses.  I own 6 different electronic cutting machines and my Silver Bullet is my favorite.  Yes, the machine is expensive compared to buying a $300- $350 machine BUT, I own 4 of one brand alone and still don't have the quality or performance of my Silver Bullet!  Think about this..  None of those four machines have the metal construction, the speed or the cutting depth and accuracy.  OR CAN CUT 18 inches!!!  The owner and staff are hands on and AAAAA+++.   And buying those 4 lesser priced machines, ended up costing more than 1 Silver Bullet.

Have a great weekend and Please remember to go to my Etsy Storefront.  Click the store link on the right of my page.  Thank you.

Happy Fall by Scrapcuts by Judy

Happy Fall by Scrapcuts by Judy

I love scrap-booking and crafts during Fall months!  Living in Central Florida, having mid/high 90's for months, I am ready for Fall!  Also time to replenish my stack of scrapping supplies and throw away some.

I have quite a few new files on my Etsy store, check it out!  Many new Halloween files.

Both projects are from Svgcuts'  Harvest Sunset Collection.

This card was so much fun to make and I love the results!  Card when finished is large enough to  look great on a table.  Or brighten someones day and mail it to them.  I used American Craft paper/cardstock.

Svgcuts wagon/cart is perfect for gift giving during the holidays!  I put hot chocolate pods in my cart and will take it to a friend for Thanksgiving.  Perfect for your kitchen area or a gift.

I hope everyone has a great week and thank-you for stopping by my Blog!

Happy 4th of July ~ Scrapcuts by Judy

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

I love the 4th of July and celebrations.  Family time and to celebrate our birth as a Nation. A big thank you to all whom keeps us safe in these times of uncertainty. The above picture is a Rocket Lantern!  LOVE THIS FILE!  Designed and offered by Dreaming Tree. Stars and Stripes Forever SVG Bundle

The  bag above is going to be my "go-to" design for gift bags. File available at Svgcuts.com. Travel the World SVG Kit.  This gift bag is very solid when completed.  I used American Crafts solid paper/card-stock for the bag and the outside printed paper is : Colorbok Designer Paper Patriotic Old Glory.  Both, I bought from Amazon.  I found the adorable Bear Print n Cut on the Silhouette Store.

Notice the nice zigzag dimensional effect when completed?  Very easy to assemble.  Tip:  You can color your clear rhinestones with a Sharpie or alcohol based marker/pen such as Copic.

The Route 66 box card is included in the same set as the bag.  Really had fun assembling this card and it's great for a birthday card for hubby or retirement perhaps?  I used American Crafts card-stock and the postcards and stamps are Graphic 45.  "Safari Adventure. "
Have a safe holiday and thank-you for stopping by my blog.

Summer Nights T-Lite Holder

This project is:   Summer Nights T-Lite holder  just released by Dreaming Tree.

Summer Nights and Flights SVG Bundle is the name of the kit.  This kits screams tropical and colors and just what I needed to work with.  I love color!   Below is a picture of my t-lite holder lit up.

Makes you want a bowl of sherbet or a Mia-Tia cocktail doesn't it?  It holds 4 t-lites and great to put in your home for accent.   The FREEBIE is a 1 lite holder and adorable.

The paper used was Graphic 45 Artisan Style Collection.  I also used American Crafts card-stock from the Tropical pack and raspberry vellum I had in my pile of oldies!

Cold Beer ~ Hot Grill ~ Tackle Box full of Lures ~ "Happy Father's Day"

Cold Beer ~ Hot Grill ~ Tackle Box full of Lures

       "Happy Father's Day"

Next week is Father's Day, and I am ready and moving on to 4th of July.  All 3 of my projects shown, are designed by Svgcuts.com.  I openly am admitting I am really, really liking the box cards Mary designs!  All 3 cards fit into an envelope for gift-giving.  I would rate all 3 projects as easy to medium levels.

If you look closely at the top tray and bottom one of the tackle lures, you will see they are faded out in places.  I wanted this affect of worn out lures, "lucky lures".  I used the print n cut pieces Mary had included in the extra folder.  After printing these, I used a baby wipe to quickly remove some of the ink!  I love the finished affect within seconds. I always use photo paper to print my PnC's.  I consider a box of baby wipes a necessity for scrap-booking.  I am definitely a messy glue person and have a baby wipe in front of me to clean on the spot.

Shadowbox Fun

Happy Spring and Happy Easter!

After seeing this cute as can be new release from svgcuts, I was ready to do a few vinyl projects.  Luck was on my side as Michael's had their shadowboxes 50% off!  Shadowboxes make great gifts for others and for your own home.  Either of the above projects were under $10 to make.

The grow box is a 8" by 10" and the coffee one is 5" by 7".  Neither project requires much vinyl and I used scraps I had to make mine.  The coffee mug is also from Svgcuts.com and very easy to make IF you watch the video one time. :)   The title for the coffee/mascara file is from Silhouette online store.

Thank you for stopping by my Blog and I hope you will checkout my online store.

Fan shaped Valentine 3D Box

Fan shaped valentine box design by  Dreaming Tree.

Welcome to our World, Baby Liam ! !

Congratulations to proud parents Samantha & Samuel on the birth of your beautiful & healthy son.  Liam decided he didn't want to be a Christmas Baby, nor New's Baby and chose his own birth-date.   Liam is my Great - Grandson and a little Angel.

As you can see in the first picture on this page, I made a newly released design by Dreaming Tree- Valentine's Day box. I was quite impressed how well the pieces went together and the sturdiness of the finished project.  So I made another one but wanted it to be a memory box.

The paper used is Graphic 45 Precious Memories Collection.   The finished box is about 11 inches in height.  Very nice size to store things into.  The box is perfect to keep your private things  and thoughts tucked away instead openly in a book.  My Grand Daughter seemed very pleased with it.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Have a great week.
